A PREVIEW OF WHAT YOU CAN SEE AT FASHION FESTIVAL MARKETS THIS WEEKEND!

Local Australian Label ‘JOANIE LOVES CHACHI’ is renowned for its intricate feminine detailing, quirky aesthetic, and timeless styling and is forever popular with a broad range of age groups.

Merging a background infused with experience from major fashion corporations, and a sensibility born of her success with nationally stocked label ‘Kato’, designer Jodi Griffiths decided to focus on creating a label that expressed her pure love of fashion.

Jodi draws inspiration from her surroundings and extensive travels, fusing a mix of cultures with the latest fashion shapes. With her love of embroideries and traditional prints taking her to South America, Asia, and Europe, Jodi sources unique fabrics, beading and embroideries for each collection.

Summer ’09’s collection is an exciting blend of intricate detailing and classic femininity featuring plaited fabrics mixed with metal chains and a sueded, fringed look that references Navaho summers. Look out for individual pieces such as luscious silk floor length maxi’s in kaleidoscope whirls and arabesque paisley prints, sequinned, sueded fringe vests and stunning Aztec embroideries on delightfully feminine dresses.  Details highlight Mediterranean themes with detailed embroideries and exquisite beading.

Each range is hand embroidered and beaded in India and all the prints used by JOANIE LOVES CHACHI are exclusively designed by Jodi, and produced and manufactured either in Sydney, or India.

Jodi’s new flagship store is opening in the emerging upmarket fashion strip on Edgecliff road Woollahra next month, so stay tuned for more details.

The Jubilee Line
The Jubilee Line collection shows a continuation of the new eighties, which is definitely prominent in todays fashion. Fabric and colour combinations are what inspire me to create playful, yet feminine and effortless outfits, allowing the customer to create their own signature style. The overall aesthetic of the Line includes tie dying premium silks and bold printed chiffons intermixed with the highest quality Lycra.

Red Box is the pilot of a concept which explores the merger of both artistic
expression and fashion, we endeavour to explore the way in which art itself
can be exhibited through a fashion label.  Our mission is to be the vehicle
returning a sense of authenticity to fashion, allowing the consumer to
express themselves through wearable artwork.

Red Box Clothing 2009 presents Something & Nothing. A study of the Urban
environment displayed through art and fashion... Utilizing the t-shirt as a
medium in which to display artistic expression.

You can always expect something totally off the wall with Spunky Bruiser at the machine. More is always more for this gal with each and every one-off garment being meticulously composed and then tailored by Spunky Bruiser junior and/or senior. Now a fully fledged family affair you can be banking on a whole lot more from this label , boys and girls alike- sweet , party show-stopper frocks right through to reversible vintage tee patch-work creations. Spunky Bruiser is a clever little label putting its’ stamp on the re-worked vintage map.

A few years down the track from where we started, Soto Smith continues to change the pace of street style. The label is still lending itself towards a wearable art approach although now more all encompassing and streamlined. Comprising of  original feature pieces but ticking the ‘basics’ boxes too. The range is essentially for Men but most definitely watch out for girlfriends as the range has a unisex appeal for those who know how to rock it Soto Smith style.

The 'SoDaisy' label is all about original 'out there' jewellery that's a little quirky, and a little weird.
My style is cool retro rock grunge influenced by 70's culture.
I use exotic leathers, precious metals, vintage lucite components combined  with unusual finishing techniques  to give an edgy rustic feel.
'SoDaisy'  arose out of a strong passion to create off the beat accessories with integrity and substance.
It's for people who have individual and original style who aren't afraid to stand out and be noticed.

THINGS THAT SHOULD SELL THAT NOONE BUYS

"Cammo has never looked so good!"

The series is a medical drama/black comedy that was produced in association with 20th Century Fox Television for CBS. It follows a team of doctors and support staff stationed at the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital inUijeongbu, South Korea, during the Korean War.

And yet....last Saturday the 20th of June......this box set of MASH selling at a RIDICULOUSLY low price of $10.....did not sell.

This is a disgrace to us at Fringe Bar as it was an honor to be selling such magnificent television memorabilia, and utterly embarrassing to see it walk away without a proud owner.

But today is your lucky chance to grab it while you can!

For your chance to get your hands on this ONE OFF piece of TELEVISION HISTORY, to see Alan Alda at his best, to witness a 14 time Emmy Award Winning series, please contact fringebarmarkets@dialoguepr.com.au immediately.
